Discover Clock Restaurant - Moonville

Stepping into Clock Restaurant - Moonville at 7613 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673, United States immediately gives you that comforting feeling of a place where food meets personality. From the moment I walked in, the friendly staff made it clear that this diner takes pride in both hospitality and the quality of its menu. The interior blends nostalgic charm with modern touches, making it a spot that feels welcoming whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or planning a longer meal with friends and family.

One of the first things that strikes you is the variety on the menu. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast or a classic Southern lunch, the offerings are thoughtfully curated. Their fried chicken is a standout, perfectly seasoned and crispy without feeling greasy, while the burgers are juicy and layered with fresh ingredients. During a visit last summer, I tried their homemade biscuits topped with sausage gravy, and the balance of flavors was exceptional-light, fluffy, and comforting, exactly what you hope for in a diner breakfast. The kitchen clearly prioritizes both freshness and consistency, which is evident in the way each dish arrives piping hot and visually appealing.

The location on Augusta Road is convenient, making it easy for locals and visitors alike to drop by. I’ve noticed repeat customers who clearly appreciate not just the food, but the sense of community the restaurant fosters. Families gather here on weekends, and colleagues often meet for lunch, which speaks to its versatility. According to a recent survey on dining trends in Piedmont, diners often prefer establishments that combine quality with approachable pricing, a criterion Clock Restaurant - Moonville meets impressively.

Another feature worth highlighting is the staff’s attentiveness. During my visit, a server took the time to explain daily specials and even recommended a pairing that enhanced the meal. This level of engagement is backed by research on customer satisfaction in restaurants, which consistently shows that personalized service contributes significantly to returning clientele and positive reviews.

In addition to classic comfort foods, the restaurant offers seasonal items that rotate throughout the year. For instance, a fall visit featured pumpkin-spiced pancakes and fresh apple cider, giving patrons an experience that aligns with the season and keeps the menu feeling dynamic. The restaurant also maintains high standards of hygiene and food safety, a factor consistently emphasized by the National Restaurant Association and crucial for trustworthiness in dining establishments.

Beyond food, Clock Restaurant - Moonville showcases its commitment to community engagement. Local events and collaborations with nearby farms for fresh produce demonstrate a deeper understanding of sustainable and locally sourced ingredients. This approach not only enhances flavor but also builds a sense of accountability and transparency with patrons.

Reviews across multiple platforms often praise the consistency and authenticity of the meals. One diner specifically noted that the shrimp and grits reminded them of traditional Southern recipes, reflecting the kitchen’s attention to heritage and culinary expertise. The menu’s balance of comfort classics and innovative dishes ensures there’s something for every palate, from long-time locals to newcomers exploring Piedmont.

Whether you’re seated at the cozy booths or enjoying a meal near the window with a view of the surrounding area, the experience feels intentionally crafted. Each visit allows you to savor the flavors, interact with a knowledgeable staff, and witness a restaurant that clearly values both tradition and quality in its offerings. Clock Restaurant - Moonville is more than just a place to eat-it’s a destination where atmosphere, menu variety, and attentive service converge to create memorable dining moments.

  • Ask for a go box w meal. Been a long long time that I got that much food, and it was very very good! Brought my wife home the chicken livers and fried okra. When she saw it she said a bad word that she can't eat that much. I was very happy w service and food. I am bottom right.

  • Excellent service. Super fast delivery of our breakfast. We barely had time to pick up our phone when the waitress was bringing the food we had just ordered. Nice country Cafe feel to the place. I'd recommend this place. Only thing that wasn't perfect - a little more salt should be added to their grits. Otherwise a perfect meal.

  • Yes, there may be a thousand Clock restaurants in the area, but this one is a great one. Just about any time that you come by, it has a steady stream of locals coming in and out. That alone should tell you something. The staff is friendly and efficient, the portions are good, and the quality is good.

  • I went back to The Clock for lunch and once again, as every time, was not disappointed. Vickie was our waitress, a true professional. She was friendly, accommodating and very attentive without smothering. I had a salad plate with a scoop of potato salad, coleslaw and (homemade) chicken salad. Everything was fresh and crisp. The chicken salad was absolutely delicious. The only thing I would change about that plate is adding a little more lettuce. Next time I will ask for extra. So if you're driving by The Clock in Moonville definitely stop in. They have a lot to choose from including delicious looking desserts and daily specials.

  • I never thought I would be writing a GREAT review on a fried bologna sandwich, but here I am! Yall this was delicious! I got it with mayonnaise only. The toast was perfect, and bologna was thick. My mom had the country fried steak with pintos and cornbread. She ate every bit! Our waitress, Carmen, was amazing!!! Will definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend!

  • 1:00 p.m., Thursday, party of two. Definitely a local go to! Service was very fast from the kitchen. The onion rings were great and plentiful. I mean plentiful. It was more onion rings than I've ever had on a plate from anywhere! If I'm ever in the area again I would absolutely stop in again.
